Mickey was simply strolling through the forest, he hadn't really explored the forest properly so he thought today would be a good day to do it. He didn't want to follow any sort of track so he simply walked.
He trod on branches and leaves making all sorts of noises as he dodged low brances and trailing roots. He noted the little foot prints that must have been made by an animal, he wasn't sure which one would make the tracks, it was something he would have to start studying them so he had a real reason to be out in the forest.
He walked and walked just taking in the damp air, no light was shining through due to the thick leaves on the tops of the trees. He heard a little whistle from a bird, he was once more unsure of which bird it was but he was sure it came from a bird.

Rosalie was out hunting on her own. Emmett was spending time with Felicity and she wasn't sure where everyone else was. Besides, it had been a while since she'd been out on a hunt. Her eyes were far from the golden butterscotch they usually were. She was walking swiftly and silently through the forest with her eyes on a couple of deer. Although, it wasn't her first choice of animal she didn't really have too much of a variety in Forks. She crouched down and went for the two deer, snapping their necks and draining the blood. Her eyes slowly returned to a dark butterscotch.
As Rose finished the deer and disposed of them, another scent hit her strongly. Only this time, it was human. She went with her instincts and followed the scent. Her quiet and quick footsteps weren't able to be heard by the ears of a human. She heard his footsteps ahead of her. As she followed she kept a safe distance so if he did turn around he couldn't see her but she could still see him. She ran around the longer way, which took her less than two minutes. She hid behind a tree as his scent suddenly became stronger, because of the slight breeze. Rosalie had enough self-control to not go after him, no matter how much she wanted to.
As the human came closer, Rose took a deep breath to help control herself. Her memories came flooding back, the revenge she did to her fiance and his stupid drunk friends for what they did to her. She ran her fingers through her hair as she walked at a human pace towards him. She looked at him as he continued to walk closer, he still couldn't see her. He didn't look too familiar, she'd seen him once or twice in the hallways at school. He must of been new or something. She leaned against a tree as she waited for him to come close enough to see her.

Mickey was rather enjoying his walk through the forest it was deserted, no-one seemed to want to walk randomly through the forest like he did. Mickey then heard what sounded like a rather loud crashing together, maybe some animals were fighting over territory, it didn't bother him it sounded like it was miles away from where he walking. He stopped walking feeling a little tired, he rest against a tree, it was often that Mickey would walk so much, he liked to bike or get the bus and on odd occasions he'd even drive his car.
Mickey started to walk again as he felt his legs stopped aching, he walked calmly and slowly the trees seemed to be getting a little thicker but that didn't bother him, he rather enjoyed ducking and diving out of the way of the branches. He saw some flowers growing down by the bottom of a tree and he picked them, they'd go nicely on his front porch.
As he was walking Mickey finally looked to where he was heading and noticing someone who just seemed to be standing in the middle of the forest, he was rather curious as to why they were simply standing in the middle of the forest not actually moving but he shrugged anyway. Hello He called over to the young woman standing a little way ahead of him, he was sure he'd seen her around before at school in the canteen sitting with a very select few that she sat with everyday.

Rosalie smiled sweetly. She had a certain affect on people, mostly because of her beauty and she had a bit of a mysterious personality, according to humans, seeing how she kept to herself and her family most of the time. If there's any possible way to avoid being surrounded by humans, Rose would jump at the chance. She's not too fond of humans, she resents them more than anything.
"Hello," she spoke softly, greeting the familiar looking young man. Her eyes were fixed on him as she wondered why he would be wandering around the forest alone, hadn't anyone told him the so-called stories of vampires around Forks. She shrugged it off, he probably wouldn't of believed it anyways, none of the other humans did. How naive those humans really were. Rose kept her smile on as her thoughts rambled around in her head. She kept them to herself, as usual.
She decided she might as well make herself less suspicous by acting naive, just as humans did. "Haven't I seen you around Forks High before?" she questioned, as she shifted her weight from one foot to another. Rose had years of practice with human behaviors and how to do them as if she was still a human herself. If she were to stand a certain way too long, people would know she was different. Now those actions were done without thinking, even when she wasn't around humans.

Mickey was still unsure of what to do around this young pretty woman, he felt maybe a little insecure being in her presence, she had a certain aura around her like he wasn't worth of being around her. That however didn't put him off approaching her, he walked closer and closer to her until he was barely a few steps away from her, he stopped and studied her more closely.
As Mickey looked at her he heard her speak in her soft tone. Yes you have seen me around Forks High, unfortuately I had to re-do alot of my exams and Forks let me join them to do it again. Mickey informed her, he was wondering where the rest of her gang where, he'd never seen her alone before. Where is everyone else? He started looking around them to see if he could see them, opening his ears wider to try and hear if they were roaming around in woods. You do know it's not a good idea to walk around these woods alone, strange things happen, or so I've heard anyway. Mickey smiled, he was sure that she would've heard the rumours that go around about strange things going in the woods.

Rosalie simply nodded as he spoke. She noticed that he was a bit hesitant, unsure of himself as he stepped closer.Just to be safe, she took a small step back. After all, a human in the forest while hunting wasn't good, but she was sure she could handle it. She kept comments to herself and easily kept the facade of a human being. Her golden butterscoth eyes studied his features as he looked around and she wondered what he was looking for, until he asked and she knew what he'd meant. "Everyone else?..I assume you're referring to my family," she replied, as she raised an eyebrow. "and they aren't around now, probably off doing their own things," she continued, in a nonchalant sort of tone. It was easy to be casual, or at least act that way.
The next thing he said would have made her giggle, oh if only he knew that it was him he should be worried about instead of being so concerned about her. "I could say the same to you," she retorted. "I'm pretty sure I will be able to defend myself if something happens." Rose would definately tell this to her family, they'd get a good laugh out of it. So unaware of the dangers right in front of his face. "Speaking of strange things, haven't you heard all those rumors going around about my family, most people would just keep their distance, because we're kind of intimidating, I guess. We just keep to ourselves mostly. I'm sure you've noticed," she wondered why he didn't just avoid her like everyone else in Forks. As her eyes looked at him, she realized she didn't the human's name. "I'm Rosalie, by the way, sorry to be so rude and you are?"

Mickey was watching the behaviour from the person standing in front of him,she was acting like any other girl her age would he was acting just like anyone his age would, he was sure that this was going to be a nice conversation between too mature people. Yes I mean your family and the boyfriend you have. Mickey said the last bit with a bit of resentment the male that she always hung around with was a rather bulky, muscly guy and Mickey has this silly looking horrible frame. Oh I see so you thought you'd come out for a walk. Mickey smiled at her.
Mickey was not scared of the stories he had heard about what roamed around the forest, he knew that vampires didn't exist and it was all just fairytales blown out of context. Oh I'm fine, there is no such thing around the world as vampires, nothing will attack me apart from a small deer that may be running around. Just as Mickey spoke that a deer ran past them, he smiled at it. Yes I know you keep to yourself mostly but I was simply being polite, you know getting to know the people that live in the same area as me. Mickey spoke clearly he felt like Rosalie was trying to get rid of him but he wasn't going anywhere. Well Rosalie I am Mickey, Mickey Langton.

A smile lit up Rose's face as he mentioned Emmett. But at the same time, she noticed the change in his tone. It was understandable, after all Emmett was the most intimidating of all of the Cullens, mostly because of his size and muscle. Although he was really just a big teddy bear. This was going to be a pretty interesting conversation. "Uh,yeah, something like that," she answered with a slight nod. Well, he seemed nice enough, but he was still human. She let out a soft laugh, "Yeah, there's people around here who really believe there are vampires in Forks, but most of them live in La Push," she rolled her eyes. It was necessary to keep the secret of vampires and shapeshifters from any and all humans, for their own good.
It was just her luck that as soon as he mentioned deer, that one just so happened to run by. That definitely didn't help anything right now. She took another step back, being cautious of the human in front of her. Rose focused on the conversation, anything to ignore that fact that she was thirsty and a human within two feet of her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude about it, I was just saying, because everyone else doesn't bother with even trying to get to know us." she stated matter-of-factly. She smiled as he introduced himself, "Hello Mickey," she said politely.

Mickey notice Rosalie's face light up as he mentioned her obviously beloved Emmett it made him feel worse to think that he could never be in a league with him, ever be thought of by Rosalie in that way at all, after all she was such a pretty young lady. I don't really associate myself with anyone from around that area, I've heard rumours that they like to run free around there and that rather scares me a little. Mickey told her, he'd heard that La Push residents liked to be open minded and free spirited and he wasn't really feeling their vibe to say the least, he liked a little restraint here and there.
Mickey was glad that she didn't seem to want to get rid of him anymore, he wanted to get to know more people in the town and even though she kept to herself Rosalie still lived in the town and she was somsone he could get to know. It's alright I can sort of see why you like to keep to yourself, people around here aren't exactly friendly and welcoming are they. Mickey let out a little chuckle hoping Rosalie would see that he wasn't meaning to cause any friction between them. So how come you are in the woods?

The smile had slowly faded from her face as the topic of their conversation changed from Emmett to La Push. How she hated even the thought of the Quilette shapeshifters, or mutts as she liked to refer to them as. "Oh,well, they're kinda crazy anyways. With all their stories and whatever else." she replied, with a kind of disgusted tone in her voice. If there was one thing she hated it was the shapeshifters and she would never like them at all. Anything she mentioned about them was negative and that's how it would always be.
Rose ran her fingers through her long blonde hair. It was a habit of hers. The friendly smile she wore made her seem in a way, more beautiful. Although she had a strong dislike for humans, she had stayed and talked with Mickey. If she would've been in a bad mood today, she would've walked away a long time ago and never approached him in the first place. She let a soft laugh slip, "not really, here aren't the most friendly," she shrugged and looked at him, with a smile. Anyone who looked at her knew she was beautiful and she knew it, too. "I don't know, just wanted to get away from people for a while i guess." she answered. "what about you?"

Mickey noticed how Rosalie had changed the more they talked about La Push, she obviously didn't like the place that much and Mickey couldn't blame her, they were, to say the least, different to everyone in Forks. Yeah they do have some rather weird stories about things around here don't they. Mickey had only ever heard little bits of their stories and how they didn't really like many people in the Forks area.
Mickey watched as she ran her fingers through her long blonde hair and took in how beautiful she was once more and how much he'd like to get to know her more so he could see if her personality matched her looks or not. I just came to get some fresh air and see where my feet took me really. He told her, it was the truth he just wanted to go for a walk and didn't know where to go so simply just walked wherever his feet seemed to want to go.

Rosalie had calmed down by now and she was pretty full now, her thirst was much more controlable now that she was used to Mickey and his human scent lingering around. Although most people would describe her as a vain, self-centered bitch, Rose could be sweet when she wanted to be and this was one of those times. She was in a relatively good mood now, it was lucky on his part. He wouldn't see how rude she was most of the time, well at least not now. Chances are he'd witness it eventually, at one point or another.
"Yeah," she agreed. At least she wasn't the only one with a dislike for La Push and it's residence. Even if he was completely clueless as to why she had such a strong hatred for them, he obviously wasn't a fan of La Push either. "So..you're not from around here? where are you from?" she asked, changing the subject and just making casual conversation. "Why'd you decide to come to Forks? I mean, it's just a small town and it rains like constantly," Rose shifted her weight from one foot to the other and had her arms folded across her chest. "I don't really even like it here," she added.

Mickey was starting to feel like he was getting somewhere with getting to know Rosalie, he wasn't bombarding her with questions but at the same time he managed to keep his cool in what he was asking her. He sat down on the floor in front of a tree and looked up at her nodding.
Mickey smiled when Rosalie seemed to notice that he wasn't from around Forks at all, he was glad that she seemed to pick up on something. I'm actually from the United Kingdom, I moved here on the basis of a friend telling me that it was a really nice place. He nodded when she mentioned about Forks being rather a rainy place. Coming for the UK I'm us to all the rain and hardly any have any sun. Mickey realised that Rosalie wasn't exactly keen on being in Forks, personally Mickey rather enjoyed being in Forks it was a secluded place where he could do what he wanted without any repercussions. Why don't you go away if you don't like it here?

Rosalie had decided that he wasn't as bad as she thought all humans were. Her hatred for humans was mostly based upon her envy for wanting to be human again. You can't really blame her though, she always wanted to have a baby of her own and that was taken from her when she was changed.
Rose nodded, when he explained it. She had grown used to all the rain, but that didn't necessarily mean she liked it. She shrugged, "It's complicated, and we've already moved so many times," she answered. Of course it was complicated. They couldn't just move anywhere, because of what they are and people would notice how different they are, things like how the sun reflected off their skin. "I'm actually from New York, so I guess I'm not used to small towns and so much rain," that wasn't a complete lie, she really was born and raised in New York. Not that Mickey was able to tell she was lying at all, since she's had to lie everyday since she had been turned, to be able to even walk among humans without suspicion.

Mickey nodded when Rosalie told him that they'd moved so many times he guessed it must be time that they tried to settle somewhere and start living life as a family in a town that they stay in for a while. I guess sometimes you just have to settle somewhere no mater where it is. Mickey said he felt comfortable talking to Rosalie, he was enjoying being in her company actually.
Mickey nodded when Rosalie was telling him that she was from New York it was somewhere he'd always wanted to go but had been just a little too scared to go because it was so big and he would be on his own. So Forks it quite a big contrast to New York. He sat thinking about everything he had done since he'd left home, which wasn't really a lot if he was honest. So what do you on a normal day then?
